Questions people ask before signing up
Is automating Instagram DMs allowed?
Yes, when it is done through the official Instagram API. FasterDM sends messages using the Instagram Graph API with permissions you explicitly approve, and it only messages people who commented on your post first.
Do I need an Instagram Professional account?
Yes. The Instagram API only supports Business and Creator accounts, and the account must be linked to a Facebook Page. Switching is free and takes about a minute in the Instagram app.
Will this get my account banned?
FasterDM only uses approved API endpoints, never your password. Campaigns pause automatically if Meta rate-limits your account, each commenter is messaged once per campaign, and anyone who replies "stop" is never messaged again.
How fast is the DM sent after someone comments?
Usually within a few seconds. Instagram notifies us the moment a comment is posted, and the DM goes out as soon as it matches one of your active campaigns.
Can I reply publicly to the comment as well?
Yes. Every campaign can send a private DM and post a public comment reply at the same time, so people browsing the thread also see that you responded.
What happens to my data if I disconnect?
You can disconnect an account at any time from the dashboard. If you remove the app from your Instagram or Facebook settings, we automatically deactivate the connection, delete the stored access tokens, and remove the commenter data collected through it.
